How to Measure Local Search Enquiries in Kurukshetra

Use search and Maps data to understand customer activity, then connect it to the enquiries and outcomes your business records.

By Totem Management & Consultancy ·

Start With the Enquiry Journey

A local search may lead to a website visit, a tap on a call button or a request for directions. A customer can take more than one action. Those steps are useful signals, but they do not all represent different people or completed sales.

Before judging marketing performance, decide what your business needs: relevant enquiries, attended consultations, school admissions, quotation requests or purchases. Record the stages separately so the report explains where progress is being made.

A Local Example: Sobti Nursing Home

Totem’s published Sobti case study reports 721 Google Business Profile interactions, 250+ call-button clicks and 400+ direction requests for August 2026. These figures sit within an integrated engagement covering social content, advertising and local search.

The snapshot is evidence of reported profile activity. It does not establish 721 patients, 250 completed conversations or 400 hospital visits. It also does not isolate how much activity came from any single marketing service.

Read Each Metric for What It Measures

Impressions and Website Clicks

Search Console reports how your website appeared and received clicks in Google Search. Review the query, page, period and device. These figures do not measure every Maps interaction.

Business Profile Calls

Google defines this metric as clicks on the profile’s call button. Use phone or reception records to identify connected calls, relevant enquiries and follow-up outcomes.

Directions and Interactions

Direction requests indicate local intent, while interactions summarise profile activity. Neither metric establishes an actual visit or a unique customer.

Use a Small, Consistent Monthly Scorecard

  1. Search visibility: relevant query and page impressions, website clicks and average position for the same reporting period.
  2. Profile actions: website clicks, call-button clicks and direction requests, with their source kept clear.
  3. Enquiries: forms received, connected calls and other contacts logged by the business.
  4. Lead quality: whether the enquiry concerns a service you provide and a customer you can serve.
  5. Follow-up outcomes: response, appointment or quotation stage, and sale where your records support it.

Keep Google Ads and Meta campaign results separate from organic search metrics. Google notes that Business Profile performance can include both organic and advertising activity, so a profile total alone is not an organic SEO result.

Check the Query and the Searcher’s Location

Search Console’s average position describes observed impressions. It is not a fixed rank that every person sees. Google’s local results depend on relevance, distance and prominence, so someone searching near Thanesar can see a different order from someone elsewhere in Kurukshetra.

For a useful local comparison, keep the query and search locations consistent over time and review Maps visibility separately from website results. A single screenshot cannot establish that an agency is number one across the city.

Agree What Happens After the Enquiry

A clear contact page, working phone number and fast response matter alongside discoverability. Agree who answers each contact, how it is logged and when it is followed up. Then use the monthly review to improve the stage that is limiting business outcomes.
